Director Prashanth Neel’s highly anticipated film, “Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire,” is set to grace the big screens on December 22. Boasting a stellar cast including Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles, the narrative unfolds in the fictional city of Khansaar, delving into the intertwined lives of two childhood friends portrayed by Prabhas and Prithviraj.
Prabhas sheds light on the film’s premise and his character, expressing admiration for Neel, whom he hails as the “best director” he has collaborated with in his two-decade-long career. Reflecting on their bond, Prabhas emphasizes the personal connection they developed during the shoot, stating, “I think we became close within a month, and there has been no looking back after that. Playing my character was challenging and an experience like no other.”
As for “Salaar,” the film has a runtime of 2 hours and 55 minutes and recently secured an A certificate from the censor board. Positioned as a gripping action-packed venture, the film navigates a tale of violent intensity while maintaining a core theme of brotherly connection between the lead characters. With Jagapathi Babu also featuring in the cast, the movie is produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
